The Kebijakan Satu Peta (KSP), or One Map Policy, is a national geospatial policy framework of Indonesia that mandates the integration of all government maps into a unified system based on one reference, one standard, one database, and one geoportal. The policy was first initiated under President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in December 2010 and formally enacted through Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 9 of 2016 on the Acceleration of One Map Policy Implementation at Map Scale 1:50,000. The framework addresses the historical problem of conflicting and overlapping thematic maps produced by different ministries and agencies, which previously resulted in land-use conflicts and inconsistent policy decisions. The One Map Policy encompasses 158 thematic maps organized under seven themes: administrative boundaries, forestry, spatial planning, infrastructure, licensing and land, natural resources and environment, and special zones and transmigration areas. The policy involves 24 ministries/agencies and 34 provinces in its implementation, coordinated by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs with the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) serving as implementing body. As of March 2024, 141 thematic geospatial information layers have been integrated, with 86% of the Indicative Map of Land Use Overlap synchronized, targeting a reduction of licensing and land rights inconsistencies covering 9,264,325 hectares (8.6%) by end of 2024.
